Designed by Yeşim Kozanlı Architecture & Interior Design, Kaş Radisson BLU Hotel is located in Antalya.
Kaş is a mysterious pearl of the Mediterranean; a paradise where time seems to stand still with its quiet streets, ancient ruins, and deep blue sea. It’s a captivating town that combines the echoes of the past with the rhythm of modern life, blending historical fabric with natural beauty. The city, with its touristic peninsula, offers a delightful escape into new-age popular culture and seeks innovative designs to meet the growing accommodation needs without compromising the city’s silhouette.
Radisson Hotel Kaş was designed to reflect and experience the essence of this unique place. The hotel’s story began with a desire to understand Kaş’s rich history, culture, and natural texture. Starting with an understanding of the topography and the region’s floral structure, the story culminated in a composition formed by materials harmonious with the area’s natural fabric. Spaces dominated by earth tones and details from nature were designed to enhance the guests’ feeling of entering a comfortable and safe area. The architecture evolved with the idea of “I’m new, but I belong here.”
The stone facades of the hotel mirror the artisan craftsmanship frequently seen in the historical houses of Kaş. The walls, rising as a continuation of the impressive natural base, create a complementary effect in the silhouette and reflect a warm, intimate atmosphere.
In the hotel’s communal areas, a modern and elegant design approach was adopted. The reception, lobby, and lounge areas were designed as spacious and comfortable spaces where visitors can socialize and relax. Factors like lighting, acoustics, and air quality were carefully considered to enhance the indoor comfort. The design philosophy, inspired by nature, continued with natural stone floors and handmade special ceramics. Glass facades and sliding panels, ensuring easy transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, bring the serene rhythm of nature indoors. The hotel showcases modern art pieces adorned with traditional motifs. Notably, the hotel’s restaurant exhibits Kaş’s gastronomic riches with modern presentations of local flavors.
Radisson Hotel Kaş’s rooms, consisting of standard rooms and villa suites, offer a modern interpretation of history and nature. Walls were coated using the traditional “village plaster” technique, passed down through generations. This plaster reflects the essence of Kaş aesthetically and also provides natural insulation. Earth tones add warmth to the rooms, and when blended with modern design, they evoke a sense of tranquillity. The guest rooms and suites, with their spacious and comfortable layouts, harmonize with nature through their color palette and texture choices. Guests experience the soul of Kaş deeply while enjoying modern comforts in these rooms. The human scale remains a key factor throughout.
The hotel’s outdoor spaces are filled with indigenous trees and plants reflecting Kaş’s vegetation. Poolside areas and the open-air sushi bar are ideal for feeling the region’s breeze. Separators effectively distinguishing sunny and shaded areas allow for a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. The Spa, furnished with natural materials, offers a peaceful and energetic ambiance for a rejuvenating escape. Furthermore, the hotel operates on the principle of sustainability. It adopts waste management, energy conservation, and water preservation practices to protect Kaş’s natural beauty and minimize environmental impact.
Radisson Hotel Kaş is not just a hotel; it’s an experiential realm where you can feel, live, and breathe the spirit, history, and nature of Kaş. Staying here means more than just exploring the unique beauty of Kaş; it means touching the city’s narrative and becoming one with it. The hotel offers unforgettable moments as a living space complex that respects Kaş’s history, culture, and natural riches. Kaş Radisson BLU makes guests feel the idea of “I’m new, but I belong here” in every aspect.
