20. yüzyılın en büyük mimarlarından biri olan Le Corbusier'in rehber edindiği değerleri yansıtan mimari projeleri onurlandırmayı amaçlayan "Le Corbusier International Architecture Prize" için 30 Mart 2025'e kadar başvuru yapılabiliyor.
Fondation Le Corbusier The LE CORBUSIER Architecture Prize aims to recognise architecture and design firms that are actively working towards a more sustainable built environment, wherever they are based and whatever the challenges or opportunities inherent in each project.
Eligibility takes into consideration local characteristics, while rewarding projects that push boundaries and set a positive precedent for building practices in its specific region and around the world.
The jury, chaired in 2025 by Ms. Véronique Descharrières, the 2015 Women’s Architect Award winner in France, will consist each year of five to nine “professionals recognized in their respective fields of architecture, urban planning, philosophy, sociology, education, research, and may include members from publishing, culture, design, or photography.” The selection of the winners will be carried out in several stages:
The composition of the jury is key to the success of the competition.Chaired in 2025 by Véronique Descharrières, Prix femme architecte 2015 France, and composed each year of five to nine “professional experts recognized in their respective fields of architecture, business, education, publishing and culture”, it deliberates early in the year before announcing the winner in the spring. The international jury will comprise a minimum of architects, an urban planner, a sociologist, a photographer and the President of the Fondation Le Corbusier in Paris.
The jury is made up of a group of people representing the full range of skills and interests related to the project in question. Based on the approved selection criteria, its main role is to choose the nominees and to select and recommend the winner of the “Le Corbusier Prize” competition.
To be effective, a jury must be well constituted, i.e. both small and coherent. It must include people who are familiar with all the critical aspects of the program, so as to ensure that the winning team complies with its requirements. It’s also a good idea for the jury to include people – designers and specialists – who are known and respected by the competitors. Indeed, the presence of jury members whose professional competence is widely recognized can have a positive impact on the presentation of high-level bids and the production of quality proposals.
