Sustainable and Modular School For Burmese Refugee Children International Open Design Competition

Burmalı Mülteci Çocuklar için Modüler ve Sürdürülebilir Okul Tasarımı Yarışması'na son başvuru tarihi 1 Ekim 2011.

The aim of this competition is to design a modular free standing school that will;

Encourage and reward design excellence at a small scale which integrates function, structure, details and the need for education.

Research, respond to and highlight the unique aspects of designing a school with the constraints of the site.

Encourage the employment of sustainable design in all aspects of the proposal.

COMPETITION STRUCTURE
This is a single stage Competition with the aim of identifying the most appropriate proposal, which best satisfies the general and specific objectives of the contest.

Professional Category
1st prize: Design will be used to construct planned school on site
There will also be 9 honourable mentions

Student Category
1st prize: Opportunity to help with the build of winning professional design
There will also be 4 honourable mentions 

SCHEDULE
Competition Officially Announced – 1st July 2011
Start of Competition and registration – 1st July to 1st October2011
Closing Date for Submissions – 1st October 2011
Jury Evaluation – 2nd October to 15th October2011
Announcement of Winners to be posted on www.buildingtrustinternational.org – 15th October 2011

DEADLINES
All entry submissions must be sent via email to competitions@buildingtrustinternational.org until 1st October 2011 at midnight (11:59 pm. -00:00 GMT). Competitors will be responsible for the arrival of their proposals within the corresponding deadlines and no proposal will be received one day after the date previously stated.
